Book Jacket Design

This project was created for Between the Lines, a conceptual book publishing company, and features a book jacket design for Wishing for Amnesia by George Saunders. The story follows a man who uses augmented reality to erase memories of his wife, and the cover design visually interprets that emotional tension between remembrance and loss. The design depicts a glitched, fragmented image of an engaged woman — symbolizing fading memories — set within the sclera of an eye to convey the act of seeing yet wanting to forget. Muted colors and subtle distortion effects reinforce the book’s themes of detachment and nostalgia.

Beyond the cover, I also designed key interior components, including the table of contents, copyright page, and a two-page spread layout mockup, ensuring a cohesive visual language throughout the publication. The final result combines narrative-driven imagery with thoughtful typography and composition, aligning the book’s emotional core with a clean, modern aesthetic.
